As week 1 of the competition came to an end, Jill tried to come to terms with being
in the Bottom 2 during eliminations as the other girls adjusted to life in the house
without Tiffany.
Makeovers
After only three hours of sleep, the girls were awoken at 6 a.m. by creative director
Nolé Marin, who told them they had committed “crimes of fashion.”
The sleepy girls were taken to a courtroom that was presided over by “judge” Jay
Manuel. He said it was their duty to look fabulous at all times and it was time
for makeovers!
The girls were taken to Holts Salon & Spa and were told they would not see their
looks until the very end.
While most of the girls loved their new looks, Nikita hated her bangs and thought
she looked like a Muppet and Ebonie later cried because she wanted more of a major
transformation. Heather wasn’t sure what to think of her “high fashion” look and
thought she looked more like an alien.
H&M Challenge
The next challenge took place at an H&M store with celebrity stylist June Ambrose.
The girls had to pick one item off a table and had 15 minutes to put together an
outfit around that item that represented their new look.
The girls ran around the store, grabbing anything they could find and left the store
in shambles.
Rebeccah was the winner of the challenge for her androgynous inspired outfit and
received a $2,500 H&M shopping card.
Photo Shoot with Max Abadian at the Art Gallery of Ontario
Wearing high end designer Italian clothes, the girls had to balance on ladders,
with the help of some shirtless male models, for photographer Max Abadian.
Rebeccah was the first up and after a few poses, lost her balance and tumbled off
the ladder, only to be caught by the male model.
Nikita was next and feeling adventurous, lifted one leg off the ladder. Nolé said
despite her attitude problem, she had some strong shots.
Maryam got the nickname “spider” for her exotic poses while Meaghan still hadn’t
mastered the facial expressions or the embodiment of a top model, according to Nolé.
Jill found a tough time balancing in her platform heels and had Nolé and Max laughing
at her funny faces. Nolé thought Tara’s beauty and elegance could make her the one
to watch.
Linsay surprised Nolé with her poses and Heather said she didn’t feel that confident
with the shoot. Ebonie also surprised Nolé by taking control of the shoot, doing
great poses.
Back at the loft, the girls got ‘Jay Mail’ and found out they would be facing eliminations
the next day
Eliminations
Jay and the judges were impressed with the girls’ new looks and commented they barely
recognized them.
Linsay was the first to be called up and was told while it was one of the more riskier
shots, the judges would’ve liked to have seen eye contact in the photo.
The judges thought Meaghan did a better job posing with her braces and Jeanne Beker
said while she had great body awareness, her face was a little vacant.
Ebonie was nervous about seeing her photo, but the judges thought she did a great
job.
Jill was told she looked like a model, compared to last week, but the judges weren’t
convinced she wanted to be a model.
Jay told Tara her photo could be on the pages of any European high fashion magazine.
Rebeccah was told she looked like Twiggy and even though they loved that she took
a risk with the facial expression, they also wanted to see a picture of her, without
pretending to be anyone else.
Yasmin told Maryam she had a “dude in front of the dress” in her photo, referring
to where the male model was standing, and needed to see more of the garment.
The judges couldn’t believe Nikita’s incredibly strong cheekbones in her photo and
Jeanne said she’d put that on the cover of a magazine.
Heather had a “fierce” photo, according to Yasmin and Jay, but they wanted her to
become more outgoing in person.
After the judges deliberated, Nikita received photo of the week and Jill and Rebeccah
landed in the Bottom 2.
In the end, it was Jill who was sent home.
