She may have just learned to walk, but Nikita’s first runway show at the age of two years old was a sign of things to come. Years later, at the age of 18, Nikita was chosen to travel to Asia and model for Singapore Fashion Week. She has since done numerous photo shoots in Calgary and throughout BC. “It’s so much fun,” says Nikita of walking the runway. “It’s like a high almost. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever felt.”

But even with all of this experience under her belt, Nikita is still having a hard time believing she’s made it on to Canada’s Next Top Model. “It’s crazy to be one of the 11 finalists. I would’ve never thought in a hundred years that it would’ve happened to me.”

Jessica Stam, Coco Rocha, Heather Marks and Lily Donaldson are models she says she looks up to for being powerful and determined women. Nikita could fall into this category as well as she warns she won’t be holding back when it comes to the competition.

“I will basically say what everyone, who doesn’t have the courage to say it, is thinking. I’m very outspoken and I get right down to the point. I consider myself pretty real that way.”

Nikita believes she is going to be Canada’s Next Top Model because of her dedication.

“I have a passion for everything in the fashion industry, from photography to designers to clothes. I have a great personality and I think that’s something you really need. You can’t just be a pretty face.”

So this week we had a FASHION Magazine cover-try.

I felt so confident that I rocked it.

This week we were supposed to meet with Jay for coffee

Around noon Jay walks in with some coffees and all of a sudden I hear a recognizable voice.

So this past week was AMAZING

We get a ‘Jay Mail’ saying meet him on top of the tallest elevator in the world… so we head to the CN Tower

Oh my goodness today our teach was with Dan and Jessi from MTV.

It was so funny! They were teaching us how to talk to the media and answer questions appropriately without destroying ourselves.

This week was jam-packed with stuff full of learning about ourselves

As in how to present yourself and leave a lasting impression on everybody’s face.

So today we had a Cover Girl Lipstain challenge with actual food!

I had beets, which taste like dirt by the way!

So today was the first day of the competition

Twenty of us girls got picked up at our hotels and were brought to a heliport by Lake Ontario. There was a weird noise in the background…and there was a helicopter.

So at H&M we got to meet June Ambrose

So at H&M we got to meet June Ambrose (celebrity stylist) and got to learn about fashion and style and how to dress as a model.
