"the business of managing the esthetic". With an eye for creating stunning conceptual
direction, Jay has spent more than a decade in the world of high fashion and beauty,
both in front of and behind the cameras. Jay can be seen as Creative Director/Judge
on the reality series AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL and as the Host of The Style Network's
makeover series, STYLE HER FAMOUS. He is Fashion Correspondent for E! Networks,
and can be seen on the Red Carpet as part of the network's team covering THE EMMY
AWARDS®, THE GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS®, THE SAG AWARDS®, THE GRAMMY AWARDS® and THE ACADEMY
AWARDS®. He has served as Host of STYLE ROCKS THE RED CARPET for New York Fashion
Week for the past three years and he continues to co-host FASHION POLICE E! Red
Carpet Specials.
In addition to his work on AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL, STYLE HER FAMOUS, and E!, Jay
has appeared on THE TYRA BANKS SHOW, REGIS AND KELLY, MTV’s TRL, PAULA’S PARTY,
the UK’s popular LOOSE WOMEN, EVE, The 2006 and 2007 MUCHMUSIC VIDEO AWARDS and
hosted E! Network’s EXPOSED: 25 MOST NOTORIOUS MOMENTS OF FASHION WEEK. He has worked
with the world's most celebrated photographers, including Herb Ritts, Annie Leibovitz
and Richard Avedon, and has created "the look" for a long list of stars and models
including Tyra Banks, Jennifer Lopez, Iman, Rebecca Romijn, Pink, Kim Cattrall,
Alicia Silverstone, David Bowie, Rupert Everett and Rosario Dawson.
A fashion and beauty expert who began his career as a makeup artist, Jay's unique
vision as Creative Director/Producer has contributed to the success of 12 popular
cycles of AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL. His artistry and expertise can been seen on
the covers of the world's most celebrated fashion magazines and on the runways of
the industry's top designers. Having built a career on calculated risk-taking, extreme
good taste and an exquisite eye for what the public wants next, his counsel and
talent is sought by celebrities, photographers and advertising executives the world
over.
In 2006, Jay launched his own line of cosmetics, Manual Override, an innovative
product line designed to enhance the makeup women already use.
Jay has recently lent his talents to hosting the Red Carpet for the 2008 GLAAD Media
Awards (Los Angeles), hosting Fashion Cares 2007 (Toronto) which benefits AIDS research
and hosting the American Image Awards 2007 (New York) benefiting the Boys and Girls
Clubs of America.
